  • Ingredients: Fresh dandelion leaves and roots, extracted with Liquor.

Dosage recommendations:  2-5 mL of tincture three times daily. (1ml is a dropper full)

This herbal extract comes in liquid form in a glass bottle.

Store in a cool dry place.

Tincture drops can be placed under the tongue, or in your favorite beverage. When placing the drops directly under your tongue, it goes straight into your blood stream. Placing drops in your beverage will take a little longer for the tincture to take affect, as it is relying on your digestive system.

Tinctures typically last between 5-10 years depending on how it is cared for and stored. If taking drops under your tongue, make sure not to let bodily fluids touch the dropper. This would allow bacteria to enter the bottle and decrease shelf life.

    Nutritional Content of Dandelion Leaves

Fresh dandelion leaves are particularly rich in several essential vitamins:

    • Vitamin A: Dandelion greens are an excellent source of vitamin A, which is crucial for maintaining healthy vision, skin, and immune function.
    • Vitamin C: This vitamin acts as a powerful antioxidant, helping to protect cells from damage and supporting the immune system.
    • Vitamin K: Important for blood clotting and bone health, dandelion leaves provide a significant amount of vitamin K.
    • B Vitamins: Dandelion leaves also contain various B vitamins, including folate (B9), which is vital for DNA synthesis and repair, as well as other B vitamins that play roles in energy metabolism.

In addition to these vitamins, dandelion leaves are a good source of minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium.

    Nutritional Content of Dandelion Roots

Dandelion roots also offer nutritional benefits but differ slightly from the leaves:

    • Inulin: The root is rich in inulin, a type of soluble fiber that supports digestive health by promoting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.
    • Vitamins: While the root contains fewer vitamins than the leaves, it still provides some vitamin content, including small amounts of B vitamins.
